After graduating from The American University of Rome, Alex returned to his native San Francisco Bay Area to join the booming tech community. Taking on various special projects such as designing and developing an App for Michelin-star restaurant The French Laundry, and organizing over 100 events for companies including Apple, Twitter, and Yahoo! within a few years into his eyes again shifted back to the world at large.
Alex became intrigued by the Digital Nomad community living and working from far-flung destinations with nothing more than a laptop and a clientele. This seemed like the perfect combination of his business/tech background and globetrotting roots. He took himself on a 50-day learning journey to the Hawaiian-island of Kauai where he became friends with a Web Wizard and exchanged guitar lessons for coding classes. Thanks to incredible mentoring, great collaborators and MANY late nights, within a year Alex was traveling full-time as a location-independent entrepreneur specializing in digital marketing, branding, and web strategy. He has since enjoyed this lifestyle while living in Bali, Tuscany, and around the US.
His latest focus is the craft of cinematic documentary-style video production, featuring wellness culture, organic agriculture, plant-based cuisine and consciousness development. His first commissioned project was a 10-part mini-series shot in the Longevity Blue Zone of Ikaria, Greece and has since shot with cinematographers in Japan and Ecuador for his media brand The Natural Traveler.
His ability to work from anywhere allows him to scout new locations, build contacts and experience new cultures while servicing clients based in the US, UK, Italy and Belgium. Alex is currently living in the redwood forests of Mill Valley, California, where he is planning his next shoot, developing his clients’ brands, and enjoying daily walks in nature spotting hummingbirds.
